Education & Experience Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree, Master's preferred
  • At least three years of experience in Academic Compliance and/or Regulatory Affairs
  • Minimum of five years in a higher education setting
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
  1. Implement academic compliance initiatives aligned with the University Strategic Plan
    • Collaborate with university stakeholders, manage project plans and timelines to meet regulatory goals
    • Complete annual compliance activities as assigned
    • Audit programs and locations for readiness and compliance
    • Identify and communicate risks related to accreditation and compliance
    • Prepare applications and reports for regulatory bodies accurately and timely
    • Coordinate advisory board meetings and document outcomes
  2. Maintain knowledge of regulatory standards
    • Keep updated on accreditation standards and procedures
    • Create resources to navigate regional and program-specific standards
    • Develop documentation illustrating standard variations and deadlines
    • Respond to research requests on regulatory requirements
    • Maintain records and documentation on MyHerzing
    • Provide training on standards and compliance requirements
  3. Manage regulatory reporting projects
    • Oversee project timelines and quality assurance
    • Collaborate on accreditation submissions
    • Review standards and advise leadership on opportunities
    • Report project status to senior leadership
  4. Prepare for regulatory visits and meetings
    • Conduct mock visits for readiness
    • Maintain visit preparation resources
    • Train leaders for regulatory presentations
    • Ensure consistent visit experiences
    • Support visitors with logistics and accommodations
  5. Support strategic growth of the university
    • Research regulatory requirements for new markets and programs
    • Participate in strategic planning calls
    • Represent the university externally within regulatory guidelines
    • Collaborate on accreditation for new programs and markets
    • Advise on approval processes and timelines
    • Assist with clinical development collaborations for new programs
    • Perform other duties as assigned
Physical Requirements
  • Up to 30% travel required
  • Ability to remain stationary for periods of time
  • Ability to move around campus and clinical settings as needed
  • Effective communication skills
  • Ability to observe and operate equipment
