Education & Experience Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree, Master's preferred
  • Minimum three years of experience in Academic Compliance and/or Regulatory Affairs
  • Minimum five years in a higher education environment
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
  1. Execute academic compliance initiatives in alignment with the University Strategic Plan
    • Collaborate with university constituents, maintain project plans and timelines to achieve regulatory initiatives.
    • Complete annual compliance activities as assigned.
    • Audit programs and locations to ensure readiness and compliance with standards.
    • Assess vulnerabilities and communicate concerns for intervention.
    • Complete applications and reports for regulatory entities accurately and timely.
    • Coordinate with leadership for advisory board meetings documentation.
  2. Maintain institutional knowledge of regulatory standards
    • Keep updated on accreditation standards and procedures.
    • Develop resources for navigating standards across regions and programs.
    • Maintain documentation and resources on MyHerzing.
    • Provide training on regulatory standards.
  3. Project management for regulatory reporting
    • Manage project timelines and quality assurance.
    • Support accreditation submissions collaboratively.
    • Review standards and advise leadership.
    • Report project status to senior leadership.
  4. Promote visit and meeting readiness
    • Conduct mock visits and maintain visit preparation resources.
    • Prepare leaders for regulatory presentations.
    • Represent the compliance team during visits.
    • Support site visitors with logistics.
  5. Strategic growth positioning
    • Research regulatory requirements for new markets and programs.
    • Participate in strategic planning calls.
    • Represent the university externally within regulatory guidelines.
    • Advise on accreditation processes for new programs and markets.
Physical Requirements:
  • Up to 30% travel required
  • Remain stationary most of the time; move around as needed.
  • Operate program-specific equipment and communicate effectively.
