Education & Experience Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree, Master's preferred
  • Minimum three years of experience in Academic Compliance and/or Regulatory Affairs
  • Minimum five years in a higher education environment
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Execute academic compliance initiatives aligned with the University Strategic Plan
    • Collaborate with university constituents, maintain project plans and timelines for regulatory initiatives
    • Complete annual compliance activities to meet strategic priorities
    • Audit programs and locations for compliance with academic standards
    • Assess vulnerabilities related to accreditation and compliance, communicate concerns
    • Complete applications and reports for regulatory entities accurately and timely
    • Coordinate advisory board meetings, document minutes and action items
  • Maintain institutional knowledge of regulatory standards
    • Keep updated on accreditation standards and procedures
    • Develop resources to navigate regional and programmatic standards
    • Maintain documentation on standards, deadlines, and compliance resources
    • Provide training on regulatory standards to university constituents
  • Manage regulatory reporting projects
    • Oversee project timelines and quality assurance
    • Support accreditation submissions with faculty and staff
    • Review standards and advise leadership on opportunities
    • Communicate project status effectively
  • Prepare for regulatory visits and meetings
    • Conduct mock visits and maintain readiness repositories
    • Prepare leaders for presentations and visits
    • Represent the compliance team during visits and meetings
    • Support logistics for site visits
Positioning for Strategic Growth:
  • Research regulatory requirements for new markets and programs
  • Participate in strategic calls and initiatives
  • Represent the university with external entities
  • Collaborate on accreditation for new programs and markets
  • Advise on approval processes and timelines
  • Assist with clinical development collaborations
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Physical Requirements:
  • Up to 30% travel required
  • Remain stationary most of the time, with occasional movement around the location
  • Operate equipment and assess environments as needed
