Education & Experience Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree, Master's preferred
  • At least three years in Academic Compliance and/or Regulatory Affairs
  • Minimum five years in higher education environment
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
  • Execute academic compliance initiatives aligned with the University Strategic Plan
  • Collaborate with university stakeholders, maintain project plans, and ensure regulatory initiatives meet desired outcomes
  • Complete annual compliance activities and audits to ensure readiness and standards adherence
  • Assess vulnerabilities related to accreditation and compliance, communicating concerns for intervention
  • Prepare applications and reports for regulatory bodies accurately and timely
  • Coordinate advisory board meetings, document minutes, and follow-up actions
Maintain Regulatory Standards Knowledge
  • Keep updated on accreditation standards and develop resources to navigate regional and programmatic variations
  • Create documentation illustrating standard variations across locations and deadlines
  • Respond to research requests on regulatory requirements
  • Maintain records and provide training on standards and compliance processes
Regulatory Reporting and Project Management
  • Manage project timelines, support quality assurance, and collaborate on accreditation submissions
  • Review standards and advise leadership on opportunities for compliance improvements
  • Communicate project status and needs effectively to senior leadership
Regulatory Visit and Meeting Readiness
  • Conduct mock visits, prepare for on-site visits, and support university representatives during visits
  • Ensure consistent regulatory visit experiences and support logistics for visitors
Strategic Growth Positioning
  • Research regulatory requirements for new markets and programs
  • Participate in strategic planning calls and represent the university externally
  • Collaborate on accreditation for new programs and markets, advising on timelines and processes
Physical Requirements
  • Up to 30% travel required
  • Remain stationary for periods, move around campus, and operate equipment
  • Communicate effectively with students and staff
