Education & Experience Requirements

• Bachelor's degree, Master's preferred
• At least three years of experience in Academic Compliance and/or Regulatory Affairs
• At least five years of experience in higher education

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

• Implement academic compliance initiatives aligned with the University Strategic Plan
• Collaborate with university stakeholders, maintain project plans and timelines for regulatory initiatives
• Complete annual compliance activities to meet strategic priorities
• Audit programs and locations to ensure standards compliance
• Identify vulnerabilities related to accreditation and regulatory compliance; communicate concerns to AVP of Academic Compliance
• Accurately complete applications and reports for regulatory bodies
• Coordinate advisory board meetings and document outcomes

• Maintain knowledge of regulatory standards
• Keep updated on accreditation standards and develop navigation resources
• Create documents illustrating standard variations across regions and programs
• Respond to research requests on regulatory requirements
• Document and track submissions and deadlines
• Train university staff on relevant standards

• Manage regulatory reporting projects
• Support project timelines and quality assurance
• Assist in preparing accreditation and regulatory submissions
• Review standards and advise senior leadership
• Report project status and needs assessments accurately

• Prepare for regulatory visits and meetings
• Conduct mock visits and maintain visit readiness resources
• Prepare university leaders for visits
• Represent the compliance team during visits and support logistics

• Support strategic growth of the University
• Research regulatory requirements for new markets and programs
• Participate in strategic planning calls
• Represent the university externally within regulatory guidelines
• Collaborate on accreditation for new programs and markets
• Advise on approval processes and timelines
• Perform other duties as assigned

Physical Requirements

• Up to 30% travel required
• Remain stationary most of the time; move around as needed
• Operate equipment and communicate verbally
• Observe, assess, and access environments visually or otherwise
