Education & Experience Requirements

• Bachelor's degree, Master’s preferred
• At least three years of experience in Academic Compliance and/or Regulatory Affairs
• At least five years in a higher education environment

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

• Execute academic compliance initiatives aligned with the University Strategic Plan
• Collaborate with university stakeholders, maintain project plans and timelines to meet regulatory goals
• Complete annual compliance activities as assigned
• Audit programs and locations for compliance with standards
• Assess vulnerabilities related to accreditation and compliance, communicating concerns to the AVP
• Prepare applications and reports for regulatory bodies timely and accurately
• Coordinate with leadership to ensure advisory board meetings are documented properly

• Maintain institutional knowledge of regulatory standards
• Keep updated on accreditation standards and develop resources to navigate regional and programmatic variations
• Develop documents illustrating standard variations and deadlines
• Respond to research requests on regulatory requirements
• Maintain documentation and training materials on MyHerzing

• Manage regulatory reporting projects
• Oversee project timelines, support, and quality assurance
• Collaborate on accreditation submissions with faculty and staff
• Review standards and advise leadership on opportunities
• Report project status to senior leadership

• Prepare for regulatory visits and meetings
• Conduct mock visits and maintain visit preparation resources
• Prepare leaders for presentations and visits
• Represent the compliance team during visits and support logistical arrangements

Strategic Growth Positioning

• Research regulatory requirements for new markets and programs
• Participate in strategic calls for new programs or discontinuations
• Represent the university externally within regulatory guidelines
• Support accreditation processes for new programs and markets
• Advise on timelines and processes for approvals

Physical Requirements

• Up to 30% travel
• Stationary position and mobility around campus or clinical settings
• Effective communication and observation skills
• Operate relevant equipment
