Education & Experience Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree, Master's preferred
  • Minimum of three years of experience in Academic Compliance and/or Regulatory Affairs
  • Minimum of five years in a higher education environment
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
  • Execute academic compliance initiatives in line with the University Strategic Plan
    • Collaborate with university constituents, maintain project plans and timelines to meet regulatory initiatives
    • Complete annual compliance activities to achieve strategic priorities
    • Audit programs and locations for compliance with academic standards
    • Assess vulnerabilities related to accreditation and compliance, communicate concerns
    • Complete applications and reports for regulatory bodies accurately and timely
    • Coordinate with leadership on advisory board meetings and documentation
  • Maintain institutional knowledge of regulatory standards
    • Keep up-to-date with accreditation standards and develop navigation resources
    • Document standards variations across regions and programs
    • Respond to research requests on regulatory requirements
    • Maintain records and provide training on standards
  • Project management for regulatory reporting
    • Manage timelines, support, and quality assurance for reporting
    • Collaborate on accreditation submissions
    • Review standards and advise leadership on opportunities
    • Communicate project status effectively
  • Regulatory visit/presentation/meeting readiness
    • Conduct mock visits, prepare for on-site visits, support university representatives during visits
  • Strategic growth positioning
    • Research regulatory requirements for new markets and programs
    • Participate in strategic discussions and represent the university externally
    • Advise on accreditation processes for new initiatives
Physical Requirements
  • Up to 30% travel
  • Stationary position most of the time, with occasional movement
  • Ability to operate equipment and communicate effectively
