Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking an Associate Director to lead centralized engineering across the Americas, overseeing on-site and offshore teams, and driving profitable projects in data center HVAC/Controls. You will set expectations, coach leaders, ensure on-time delivery, and align engineering activities with business goals while maintaining safety and integrity.

This role also requires strategic thinking, cross-functional collaboration with sales, service operations, enablement, and branch

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, a technical discipline, or equivalent relevant experience.
Typically 10+ years of progressive experience in HVAC, building systems, technical services, engineering.
Strong knowledge of commercial HVAC offerings, engineering, financial planning, and project support.
Ability to travel approximately 40% of the time.

Responsibilities

Lead centralized engineering teams supporting the balance of our engineering teams throughout the Americas and bring to bear specialized skills and scale as needed to keep projects healthy and on track.
Lead our engineering travel team that provides on-site support to our largest and most complex projects.
Manage our offshore engineering program that brings engineering from our offshore team to the Americas to bring scale and resources to our large and complex projects in the Americas.
Lead our Data Center HVAC / Controls engineering teams supporting our data center customers throughout the Americas.
