Job Title: Contract Associate Director, Clinical Scientist (Remote)

Location: Remote (with occasional travel to New Jersey)

Duration: 12 months (with potential for extension)

Overview:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Associate Director, Clinical Scientist to support the development, planning, and execution of clinical studies within a dynamic and collaborative environment. This role plays a key part in ensuring the scientific integrity of clinical programs and contributes to both early and late-stage development efforts. The position reports to a senior leader in Clinical Sciences and works closely with cross-functional teams, including Medical Directors and other scientific experts.

Key Responsibilities:

• Serve as Clinical Scientist for one or more programs or act as a delegate within the clinical science function.
• Participate in program team meetings, advisory boards, steering committees, and safety monitoring boards.
• Maintain a strong understanding of the relevant disease area(s), investigational compounds, and the broader treatment landscape.
• Design and execute clinical research strategies, leveraging scientific literature and data to support study rationale.
• Develop and review clinical trial documents including protocols, informed consents, medical monitoring plans, and clinical study reports.
• Support the preparation of materials for internal and external meetings, including investigator meetings and regulatory interactions.
• Analyze clinical data to assess study progress and identify potential risks, proposing mitigation strategies as needed.
• Promote consistency in clinical data review practices and contribute to the development of monitoring plans.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree (PhD, PharmD, MSc) in life sciences or healthcare preferred.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in clinical drug development within the pharmaceutical or biotech industry.
• Strong understanding of the clinical trial process, GCP, and regulatory requirements.
• Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally and influence stakeholders at various levels.
• Excellent communication, analytical, and medical writing skills.
• Experience with global clinical trials is highly desirable.
