Job summary

Husch Blackwell LLP is a full-service firm seeking an Associate Director of Benefits & Payroll to lead health, welfare and retirement programs, payroll operations, and regulatory compliance. This role reports to the Senior Director of HR Operations & Total Rewards and may be remote or in any location.

The Associate Director will oversee governance, audits, and continuous improvement across Total Rewards, partnering with Finance, People & Culture, and external vendors to optimize programs and

Qualifications

• Eight to ten years of progressively responsible experience in benefits, payroll and/or Total Rewards.
• Experience in a large law firm or professional services organization.
• Experience leading teams and cross-functional initiatives.
• Strong knowledge of ERISA, IRS, DOL, HIPAA, ACA, COBRA.
• Experience with UKG Pro and related HR technology platforms preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, implementation, and ongoing management of health, welfare, and retirement benefit programs.
• Oversee payroll governance and multi-state processing.
• Provide operational leadership for the firm’s payroll function.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and fiduciary governance of benefit programs.
• Collaborate with People & Culture, Finance and external partners to support Total Rewards objectives.
