Job summary

Husch Blackwell LLP seeks an Associate Director of Benefits & Payroll to lead the design, governance, and ongoing management of health, welfare, retirement and well-being programs. You will ensure regulatory compliance and align Total Rewards with the firm’s strategy.

Reporting to the Senior Director of HR Operations & Total Rewards, you will supervise teams, drive process improvements, manage vendor partnerships, and coordinate with Finance and external partners to deliver superior employee

Qualifications

• Eight to ten years of progressively responsible experience in benefits, payroll and/or Total Rewards.
• Experience leading teams and cross-functional initiatives.
• Experience administering health and retirement plans with knowledge of ERISA, IRS, DOL, HIPAA, ACA and COBRA.
• Experience with UKG Pro and related HR technology platforms preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, implementation, and ongoing management of health, welfare, and ancillary benefit programs.
• Oversee payroll governance and ensure accurate multi-state processing.
• Coordinate retirement program governance and communications with stakeholders.
• Develop well-being strategy and align with DEI and Total Rewards goals.
• Partner with Finance, HR Technology, and external vendors to optimize programs.
• Lead cross-functional initiatives to improve operational excellence and employee experience.
