Job summary

Bowling Green State University is seeking an Associate Director of Admissions to lead the admissions systems strategy for undergraduate and graduate programs. The role directs multiple systems (Slate, UAS, PeopleSoft, OnBase) and oversees training, documentation, and staff development.

The position partners with ITS and academic units to optimize applicant processing and enrollment strategies, while supervising four staff members and ensuring timely project delivery within EST business hours.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 2 years of admissions or higher education experience, or experience in project management, system implementation, testing, or training staff on business systems.
• 1 year of experience running queries or using data to support business decisions, such as communication flows, territory management, recruitment, or enrollment strategies.
• 1 year of staff supervision experience preferred, either through direct supervision or by serving as a functional lead for system implementations, business process functions, or other cross-functional initiatives.
• Strong leadership, team-building and project management skills; ability to coordinate tasks and lead teams across units.
• Experience with ERP systems, CRM systems and web-based projects for administrative units.

Responsibilities

• Direct the Office of Admissions system unit supporting multiple instances of Slate, UAS, PeopleSoft and OnBase; prioritize projects, resource planning and system redesigns.
• Direct the hiring, training, supervision and evaluation of the 4 staff on the systems team.
• Serve as liaison to academic units, athletics, ITS, Student Financial Aid, Bursar, and others to streamline applicant processing and recruitment.
• Lead upgrades, installation, testing, and maintenance of admissions software; ensure deadlines and resources are met.
• Develop and deliver training and documentation for system and business processes; align with operational needs.
• Keep current on best practices and participate in committees and project teams.
