Job summary

Hybrid Apparel is seeking an Associate Designer in Cypress, CA to support design and development across teams. You will research trends, build inspiration, and draft linesheets while assisting the Designer and Director to execute product for multiple retailers.

You will collaborate with Pre-production, Production, Graphics, and more, contributing to seasonal direction in silhouette, fabric, and concept. A strong portfolio and proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite are essential.

Qualifications

• Portfolio required
• 2–3 years experience designing apparel
• Experience in juniors apparel a plus
• Strong sense of color, style and trend
• Extremely proficient in Adobe Creative Suite
• Attention to detail and follow-up skills
• Garment construction & fabric knowledge
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
• Enjoys working in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities

• Research trends relevant to customers and bring ideas
• Develop strong working relationships with cross-functional teams
• Create linesheets from start to finish
• Help establish seasonal direction in silhouette, fabric and concept
• Assist in presentation books and art CADs
• Attend fit sessions with the designer
• Communicate technical information through PLM to the technical designer
• Understand production fundamentals related to classification
• Manage deadlines in line with the calendar
• Assist in coding art and revisions of CADs
• Assist in sample execution
• Maintain organized filing for CADs on server
• Support day-to-day projects like filing, tagging and packaging
