Job summary

Fifth Third Bank is seeking an Associate Commercial Relationship Manager to support RMs in sales, client engagement, and pricing analysis. You will help qualify prospects, maintain client records in iris, and assist in developing proposals.

You'll participate in onboarding and training in commercial banking, gain exposure to cross-functional projects, and advance through structured development with guidance from senior leaders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business (Finance, Accounting, Business Administration) or equivalent work experience.
• 1–2+ years in commercial banking, financial services, client-facing sales, or accounting.
• Knowledge: financial and credit risk analysis, U.S. economy and regulatory environment, sales and business development, lending practices.
• Strong verbal and written communication, including negotiation and presentation.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Partner with RMs to support sales and servicing activities.
• Assist in identifying and qualifying prospects through industry and client research.
• Create and maintain client records in iris, including client profiles and opportunity pipelines.
• Prepare and contribute to client presentations and proposals.
• Attend and participate in client meetings and presentations.
• Collect and input KYC due diligence information.
• Conduct initial pricing analysis and generate relationship pricing models.
• Draft initial deal screens and opportunity memos.
• Engage in direct client contact to support relationship development.
• Identify new business opportunities and apply consultative selling strategies.
• Conduct initial outreach to prospective clients and facilitate introductions to Relationship Managers.
• Support Relationship Managers in negotiation, advancement and closure of proposals.
• Structured onboarding and training in commercial banking solutions.
• Access to internal learning platforms in finance, credit analysis, and relationship management.
• Coordinated access to experienced Relationship Managers and senior leaders as coaches.
• Opportunities to participate in cross-functional projects and client engagements.
• Regular performance feedback and career planning discussions.
