Job summary

The Travelers Indemnity Company is seeking an Associate Claim Counsel for the Bond & Specialty Insurance (BSI) team. The role will handle lower severity claims with close supervision, manage outside counsel relationships, negotiate settlements, and advise underwriting teams.

The position supports Employment Practices Liability matters with a national footprint and a hybrid work location model designed for flexibility.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required; JD strongly preferred.
• Strong negotiation and analytical skills required.
• Excellent written and spoken communication; ability to work with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Analyze, investigate, and resolve Bond & Specialty Claims of lower severity and complexity with supervision.
• Manage outside counsel relationships and settlements.
• Prepare management reports on loss development and exposure with guidance.
• Provide legal and business support to underwriting colleagues as needed.
• Maintain thorough documentation of claim activities and communications.
