Job summary

Urban Outfitters is seeking an Associate Buyer to assist in developing a customer-focused, trend-relevant product assortment aligning with the brand. The role collaborates with Buying, Planning and Allocation to support assortment planning, vendor communication, and product development.

The Associate Buyer uses data and market insights to inform decisions, contributing to both core business and fashion-forward initiatives, while staying aware of seasonality and profitability goals.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in a buying or retail role.
• Understanding of the target customer and ability to select appropriate product/trend.
• Analytical skills with business metrics (IMU%, GM%, WOS) and the OTB.

Responsibilities

• Analyze customer feedback and market trends to guide assortment.
• Support Open to Buy management and inventory planning.
• Communicate with vendors on development and delivery timelines.
• Work cross-functionally with Planning, Allocation and Buying teams.
• Monitor performance and adjust assortments through reorders and markdowns.
