Job summary

URBN Urban Outfitters, Inc. is seeking an Associate Buyer who partners with buyers to craft an exciting and timely product assortment for Anthropologie’s retail channels.

The role aims to meet or exceed sales volume and profit while translating customer feedback and market trends into action. The Associate Buyer will drive the product lifecycle from conception to post-season analysis and assist in the growth of the assistant buyer and merchandise assistant on the team.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years within a buying role in a retail environment.
• Ability to multi-task, prioritize and manage time.
• Strong communication skills.
• Strong understanding of fashion trends and the Anthropologie customer.

Responsibilities

• Analyze weekly sales, stock and on order to optimize sales and minimize markdowns.
• Run attribute reports and monitor current sales, on-hand and on-order for critical attributes.
• Manage financial elements of the business – OTB, IMU, MDs for assigned classes.
• Know products for assigned division; identify best and worst sellers and why.
• Contact vendors about reorders and place reorders weekly.
• Manage styles to the plan; balance assortment by looks, silhouettes, fabrics, color and price points.
