Job summary

East West Bank is hiring an Associate Banker in California to deliver high-touch relationship banking. You will help customers with daily financial needs, explain products, and connect clients with Wealth, Mortgage, and Commercial experts for specialized services.

You’ll grow through ongoing training, expanding digital capabilities, and building long-lasting relationships with customers. Strong communication and attention to detail are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree highly preferred.
• 1 year of recent customer service and cash handling experience is expected.
• 1 year of teller/new account experience in a banking institution is preferred.
• Ability to learn products, services, and procedures quickly; strong customer service skills required.
• Weekend flexibility may be required to meet business needs.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with financial transactions such as cash withdrawals, deposits, transfers, loan/credit card payments, wire transfers and foreign currency exchange.
• Document large deposits and report Currency Transaction Reports as required.
• Identify fraudulent activity to prevent potential loss to the bank.
• Ensure transactions comply with policies, procedures and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain and grow relationships with existing customers; cross-sell bank products as appropriate.
• Educate clients on digital banking tools and self-service portals.
