Job summary

Lorber, Greenfield & Olsen, LLP in Southern California seeks an Associate Attorney to join our civil litigation defense team. You’ll handle substantive work from day one, including motions, depositions, trials, arbitrations, and mediations, with direct access to firm partners.

You’ll draft and argue motions, manage discovery, and provide strategic counsel to clients and insurers. A California Bar admission and strong written/verbal communication are essential.

Qualifications

• 2–3+ years of civil litigation experience.
• Drafting and arguing motions that hold up in court.
• Confident navigating the California court system.
• Skilled at depositions and witness examinations.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Strong analytical instincts and judgment.
• Independent work and collaboration with a team.
• Active member of the California State Bar.
• Background in construction or casualty claims is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Draft and file motions, pleadings, and discovery with precision.
• Represent clients in trials, arbitrations, depositions, and mediations.
• Keep clients and their insurers informed and confident.
• Deliver sound legal advice grounded in litigation experience.
• Own your docket and meet billable targets.
