Job summary

Kosmos in Long Island (Hempstead, NY) seeks an experienced associate attorney for a fast-paced plaintiff no-fault firm. This in-person role requires at least 1 year of experience and strong negotiation and communication skills to manage daily court calendars and litigation from start to finish.

You will handle arbitration, draft motions, pleadings, discovery, and reports, and appear in court and arbitration hearings. Competitive salary and benefits in a congenial team environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in plaintiff no-fault litigation.
• Strong negotiation and communication skills.
• Active New York State Bar admission preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily virtual court calendar in Hempstead, NY.
• Handle litigation files from inception through trial.
• Handle arbitration files from inception through arbitration hearing.
• Prepare motions and memoranda of law.
• Prepare pleadings, discovery, demands and responses.
• Draft reports and provide file analysis.
• Appear in court and at arbitrations.

A fast-paced plaintiff no-fault firm is seeking an experienced associate attorney to join our team in Long Island (Hempstead, NY area)

A minimum of one (1) year experience is required. Candidate should have strong negotiation, communication skills, and a comprehensive understanding of no-fault law.

Position Requirements:

• Handling daily virtual court calendar in specified venue
• Handling and managing litigation files from inception through trial.
• Handling and managing arbitration files from inception through arbitration hearing.
• Preparing motions and memorandums of law.
• Preparing pleadings, discovery, demands and responses.
• Drafting reports and provide file analysis
• Court and arbitration appearances
