Job summary

AmTrust Financial Services, Inc. is seeking an intelligent actuarial pricing professional for the Workers' Compensation team. The role focuses on profitability, rate indications, and collaboration with product and other partners to drive a go-forward plan.

Ideal candidates are ACAS or near FCAS with 4+ years of property-casualty experience, strong analytical skills, and proficiency in Excel/SQL. Workers' Compensation pricing experience is strongly preferred; expect engaging dashboards and

Qualifications

BS, BA or higher degree is required.
ACAS or close to FCAS pursuing is expected.
4+ years of property-casualty commercial lines insurance experience.
Workers Compensation pricing experience is strongly preferred.
Strong analytical and communication skills are a must.
Extensive knowledge of Excel, Word, and SQL; R or Python knowledge is a plus.
Ability to build strong relationships and enrich team culture.

Responsibilities

Drive profitability and calculate aggregate state rate indications.
Analyze state profitability at a segmented level and identify opportunities and challenges.
Recommend rate changes or actions balancing profitability and growth.
Provide actuarial support for rate filings compliant with state regulations.
Communicate results to Product and business partners to gain consensus on action plan.
