Job summary

AmTrust Financial Services is seeking a highly analytical actuary to support pricing, modeling, and portfolio management of Credit Insurance programs. You will develop actuarial models, analyze portfolio performance, and partner with underwriting, finance, claims, and leaders to drive profitable growth.

The role emphasizes pricing, predictive analytics, and risk management, with opportunities to contribute to forecasting and strategic planning across consumer lending and related insurance

Qualifications

• Degree in Actuarial Science or Mathematics or related field.
• ACAS or FCAS designation or progress toward credentialing.
• 5+ years actuarial, pricing, or predictive modeling experience.
• Experience with SAS/SQL/R/Python and statistical modeling.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Pricing & profitability analysis for credit insurance products and new opportunities.
• Develop and maintain pricing models for credit insurance and related products.
• Analyze claim frequency, severity, loss ratios, and profitability trends.
• Perform rate adequacy studies and recommend pricing actions.
• Monitor portfolio performance and identify emerging trends and risks.
• Support forecasting, budgeting and strategic planning initiatives.
• Build, validate, and maintain predictive models using actuarial and statistical techniques.
• Utilize borrower, loan, collateral, and credit attributes to improve risk segmentation.
• Evaluate model performance and governance with data science teams.
• Document methodologies and ensure compliance with actuarial standards and governance.
