Caltrans seeks an Associate Accounting Analyst in Sacramento (Hybrid telework). The role performs the most complex accounting duties in the Service Payables Branch, overseeing payments for major contracts and compliance obligations.

Job Description And Duties

Under the direction of an Accounting Administrator I (Supervisor), the Associate Accounting Analyst (AAA) independently performs the most complex accounting duties within the Service Payables Branch. The AAA monitors and processes payments related to Major Construction Contracts payments, EFT Enrollment, Stop Notices, Liens, Levies and Labor Compliance. The AAA conducts detailed audits and reconciliations, identifies and resolves payment discrepancies, takes appropriate corrective action of payment errors and act in a lead capacity over subordinate level staff.

This position may be eligible for telework. The amount of telework is at the discretion of the Department and based on Caltrans’s evolving telework policy. The selected candidate will be required to commute to the headquartered location as needed to meet operational needs. Business travel may be required, and reimbursement considers an employee’s designated headquartered location, primary residence, and may be subject to CalHR regulations or applicable bargaining unit contract provisions. All commute expenses to the headquartered location will be the responsibility of the selected candidate .
