Responsibilities

The Associate Accounting Analyst (AAA) receives general supervision from an Accounting Administrator I, Supervisor (AA I-Sup) and is responsible for performing complex assignments related to CALSTARS and Financial Information System for California (FI$Cal) table maintenance; researching and resolving accounting data problems associated with cost allocation and FI$Cal timesheets; providing technical support to fiscal and accounting staff regarding accounting data problems; documenting existing system processes; and making recommendations to management.

Special Requirements

Statement of Qualifications (SOQ) must be submitted with your application. Applications lacking an SOQ may be disqualified. The SOQ should be written in narrative form (no bullet points) and limit two (2) single‑sided pages. It must include your interest in the Department of Social Services and how your education and experience qualify you for this position.

Applicants are required to complete employment history on the application form (STD 678) and may be disqualified if the history is incomplete.

Training and Development assignments may be considered but are temporary and shall not exceed twenty‑four (24) months.
