The District of Wyoming has a position available for an Assistant United States Attorney (AUSA) in our Criminal Division located in Cheyenne, Wyoming or Casper, Wyoming. The District of Wyoming encompasses a large and diverse geographical area of 97,914 square miles and a population of 588,283. Our Criminal Division AUSAs are located in Cheyenne, Casper, Lander, and Yellowstone National Park.

Required Qualifications:

Applicants must possess a J.D. Degree, be an active member of the bar (any U.S. jurisdiction), have at least 1 year post-J.D. legal or other relevant experience, demonstrated excellence in trial advocacy, and legal writing. If the successful candidate is not a member of the Wyoming State Bar and is not eligible to become a member of the Bar upon motion or transfer of UBE score, he or she will be expected to favorably complete the Wyoming Bar Examination at the next available opportunity. United States citizenship is required.
