Job summary

West Coast Convenience seeks an Assistant Team Leader to support the Team Leader in daily store operations, coaching the team and ensuring a consistent, high-quality customer experience. You will actively work with the team, handle scheduling and cash tasks, and step in as acting leader when needed.

The role emphasizes hands-on leadership, problem-solving, and adherence to company standards in a fast-paced environment with opportunities to grow into a Team Leader role.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 6–9 months of assistant manager or related experience.
• Strong math, English communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Team-oriented, organized, and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Reliable transportation and flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Retail, convenience, food service, or supervisory experience preferred.
• Willingness to learn and grow into a Team Leader role.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Lead the store in the Team Leader’s absence and support daily operations.
• Train and coach team members, drive performance, and foster a positive environment.
• Assist with scheduling, timekeeping, and coverage.
• Handle cash, reports, and store paperwork accurately.
• Tackle basic equipment issues and ensure excellent customer service.
• Support ordering, stocking, merchandising, and promotions.
• Monitor inventory, reduce shrink, and maintain presentation.
• Ensure safety and regulatory compliance on shift.
