Union County Community Action, Inc. (UCCA) seeks a caring professional to support preschool classrooms and assist with safe transportation of children to and from school.

The role offers benefits, professional growth, and a stable Monday–Friday schedule, with starting rate up to $18.50 per hour in Monroe, NC. This position combines classroom support with bus supervision and requires a CDL or ability to obtain one within 90 days.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required for Assistant Teacher/Bus Driver I; CDA preferred.
• For Assistant Teacher/Bus Driver II, an Associate’s Degree in Early Childhood Development or related field is preferred.
• EDU 119 required; CDL required or obtained within 90 days of employment.
• CPR/First Aid certification required or ability to obtain.
• Must pass pre-employment physical, drug screening, TB test; random drug screens.
• Valid driver’s license required.

Union County Community Action, Inc. (UCCA) is seeking a caring, dependable professional to support our preschool classrooms while also assisting with the safe transportation of children to and from school. Starting Rate: Up to $18.50 per hour

Schedule: Monday–Friday 6:45am-2:45pm (40 hours/week)

• Assistant Teacher/ Bus Driver II: Associate’s Degree in Early Childhood Development or related field preferred. Six months to one year of related experience preferred
• EDU 119 required
• CDL required or ability to obtain within 90 days of employment
• CPR and First Aid certification required or ability to obtain
• Must pass a pre-employment physical, drug screening and TB test, and must submit to random drug screenings.
• Valid driver’s license required

Physical Requirements

Must be able to actively supervise young children in classroom and outdoor environments, assist children on and off the bus, and occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds.
