Job summary

Union County Community Action, Inc. (UCCA) is seeking a dependable Classroom Aide to support teachers in Head Start and Early Head Start classrooms in Monroe, NC.

You will assist with daily activities, supervise children, maintain records, and help with classroom organization while promoting family engagement. Starting rate is $14 per hour with a Monday–Friday schedule from 6:45am-2:45pm or 7:30am-3:30pm (40 hours/week).

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• EDU 119 or CDA Credential preferred.
• Experience working with young children preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification required or ability to obtain.
• Valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Assist teachers with classroom activities and supervision.
• Support children’s developmental and educational needs.
• Help maintain classroom records and documentation.
• Assist with classroom organization and cleanliness.
• Supervise children during classroom and outdoor activities.
• Support family engagement and communication.

Start or grow your early childhood career while helping children feel safe, supported, and ready to learn. UCCA is seeking a dependable Classroom Aide to assist teachers in Head Start and Early Head Start classrooms.

You will support daily activities, child supervision, classroom organization, and family engagement as part of a collaborative education team.

Starting Rate: $14 per hour

Physical Demands
