Job summary

Union County Community Action, Inc. in Monroe, NC is seeking a dependable Teacher’s Aide to support Head Start and Early Head Start classrooms. You will assist teachers with daily activities, supervise children, and help maintain records as part of a collaborative education team.

Starting rate is $14 per hour, with a Monday–Friday schedule. Eligible employees receive medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k), paid holidays, and opportunities for professional development and tuition

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• EDU 119 or CDA Credential preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification required or ability to obtain.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Experience working with young children preferred.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Start or grow your early childhood career while helping children feel safe, supported, and ready to learn. UCCA is seeking a dependable Classroom Aide to assist teachers in Head Start and Early Head Start classrooms.
You will support daily activities, child supervision, classroom organization, and family engagement as part of a collaborative education team.
Starting Rate: $14 per hour
Schedule: Monday–Friday 6:45am-2:45pm or 7:30am-3:30pm (40 hours/week)

Physical Demands

Must be able to actively assist with classroom activities, supervise children in indoor and outdoor environments, and occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds.
