Job summary

Greater Philadelphia YMCA seeks a part-time, hourly assistant teacher who is passionate about nurturing young minds and connecting with families. You will help plan engaging curricula, maintain a safe and caring environment, and support daily child care routines.

The role offers a flexible schedule with the chance to grow within a nonprofit that strengthens the community. A High School diploma and 2 years of verified childcare experience are required.

• 2 years verified childcare experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning and implementing dynamic curricula to ensure fun, child-centered, and age-appropriate lessons are offered.
• Cultivate a sensitive, patient childcare environment for both children and families.
• Maintain a healthy environment through light cleaning and supporting personal care routines of the children.
• Supervise each child in your care by identifying, SEE, HEAR, DIRECT and ASSIST, ensuring a safe environment.
• Uphold YMCA, State, and Quality Rating Systems policies for quality childcare.

What is needed for this job:

• High School degree or equivalent.
• 2 years (2500 hours) verified childcare experience.
