Job summary

Greater Philadelphia YMCA is seeking a passionate assistant teacher for a full-time, hourly position. You will assist in planning engaging, age-appropriate curricula and help create a fun, inclusive environment for children and families.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent and 2 years (2500 hours) of verified childcare experience. We offer strong rewards and a community-focused workplace to grow professionally.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning and implementing dynamic curricula to ensure fun, child-centered, and age-appropriate lessons are offered.
• Cultivate a sensitive, patient childcare environment for both children and families.
• Maintain a healthy environment through light cleaning and supporting personal care routines of the children.
• Supervise each child in your care by being able to identify, SEE, HEAR, DIRECT and ASSIST, always ensuring a safe environment.
• Uphold all YMCA, State, and Quality Rating Systems policies and guidelines for overall commitment to quality in childcare.
