Job summary

Pine Rest Christian Mental Health Services in Grand Rapids, MI seeks an Assistant Supervisor to join a tight-knit team delivering compassionate mental health care. Under general supervision and according to policies, you’ll support safe operations, crisis intervention, and milieu management in a clinical setting.

Responsibilities include ensuring a safe environment, assisting with program planning, documenting progress, and coordinating with staff to promote respectful care.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, understand, and follow directions and perform basic computations.
• Associate’s Degree or equivalent knowledge, skills and abilities may be required.
• Minimum of three months experience in related field.
• Ability to provide culturally inclusive care in a diverse community setting.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task.
• Proficiency with electronic systems to perform tasks using data.

Responsibilities

• Provides a safe and secure environment for persons served and staff.
• Collaborates in day-to-day planning and development of person served programming.
• May assist persons served with personal care.
• Actively participate in safety management, crisis intervention and prevention.
• Document progress notes, medication administration, and other relevant information.
• Monitor for potential safety risks and report concerns to designated staff.
• May be responsible for random and scheduled drug testing and searches.
