Job summary

Ulta Beauty is seeking an Assistant Stylist to engage guests, assess hair care needs, and recommend products and services. This temporary position provides mentorship by an Elite or Master Stylist during months 1–3, with opportunities to service guests of their own after month three.

You will participate in color, cuts, styling, and treatments as you learn, maintain cleanliness, follow safety standards, and contribute to in-store events and guest experiences.

Qualifications

• Cosmetology license is required.
• Strong communication and customer-service skills.
• Willingness to learn additional technical skills and products.

Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional guest service and contribute to store goals.
• Assist mentor stylist in achieving sales and productivity targets.
• After month three, perform hair services including cuts, color, and styling.
• Conduct product demonstrations to drive sales and guest experience.
• Support in-store events, promotions, and marketing initiatives.
• Stay informed on industry trends, products, and services.
