Job summary

Ulta Beauty is seeking a temporary Assistant Stylist to engage guests, assess hair care needs, and recommend services and products. The role trains under Elite or Master Stylists for the first 3 months, focusing on guest service, productivity, and skill development.

After three months, you will begin performing hair services and color applications while supporting store events and promotions to deliver an exceptional guest experience.

Qualifications

• Cosmetology license is required.
• Experience in guest service is preferred.
• Willingness to learn advanced hair techniques and product knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional guest service and contribute to store goals for retail and service sales.
• Assist mentor stylist in hair services and product recommendations (including add-ons and blowouts).
• After month three, perform hair services including haircuts, color, styling, and extensions where applicable.
• Demonstrate products and services to drive sales and guest satisfaction.
• Support in-store events, promotions, and marketing initiatives to enhance guest experience.
• Maintain sanitation and state-compliant procedures and keep the salon clean and organized.
• Attend trainings and meetings for professional development and adhere to dress code.
