Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Structural Engineering from an accredited program with ABET preferred.
• Prior internship and/or related consulting experience preferred.
• Basic knowledge in standard structural engineering techniques, principles and procedures.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work methodically and analytically in a quantitative problem-solving environment.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office; familiarity with structural analysis programs (RISA), AutoCAD and BIM tools.

Responsibilities

• Assist in structural design from conceptual phase through design completion.
• Modify and review production drawings for diverse projects (power, process, industrial, healthcare, etc.).
• Design structural components per project needs.
• Apply basic structural engineering concepts and procedures.
• Research and compile project-related data for managers.
• Update drawings and verify corrections across CAD software.
• Assist with client presentations, shop drawing review, and contract administration.
• Perform field inspections, measurements or calculations for clients.
