Job summary

Family Dollar in Greensboro, NC is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support daily store operations, customer service, and team development. Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required or preferred
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drugstore environment is preferred
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment is required

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns
• Assist in transferring merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed
• Process corporate directives and maintain store activities communications
• Maintain promotional effectiveness of store-front fixtures and displays
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, payroll, scheduling, and cash handling
• Maintain clean, well-stocked store and organized stockroom
• Protect and secure all company assets including store cash
• Adhere to safety policies and procedures and ensure staff compliance
• Train and develop Store Associates and supervise as needed
• Maintain a positive, safe, respectful environment with customers and staff
• Ensure cleanliness and neatness of store areas and restrooms
