Job summary

Family Dollar is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help with store operations, customer service and team development. You will assist with daily store activities and help organize merchandise from delivery to sales floor.

You will supervise and train Store Associates, ensure safety policies, maintain a clean, well-stocked store, and provide excellent service to customers while upholding company standards and loss prevention practices.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred; ability to read and explain directives is required.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drugstore preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical duties.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.
• Excellent customer service and organizational skills expected.
• Strong problem solving and decision making skills required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with day-to-day store activities and operations.
• Support store manager and train store associates.
• Help customers with questions and provide friendly service.
• Handle merchandise receiving, stocking, and displays.
• Follow safety guidelines and store policies.
• Maintain clean, organized sales floor and stockroom.
• Process payroll, scheduling, and cash deposits (record keeping).
• Protect store assets and prevent loss.
