Job summary

ALDI USA is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support day-to-day store operations, supervise team activities, manage schedules, and develop operational action plans while identifying training opportunities to grow the team.

The role includes responsibilities for inventory management, cash controls, customer service excellence, and maintaining store standards. Starting wage is $25.00 per hour with a wage increase to $26.00 per hour in year 2, based on performance.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma or equivalent.
• 3 years progressive experience in retail.
• Prior management experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist direct leader with developing and implementing action plans to improve operating results.
• Establish and communicate job responsibilities and performance expectations to direct reports.
• Identify training and development opportunities for direct reports to improve performance.
• Model company values to foster teamwork and engagement.
• Monitor competitive environment and report adjustments to maintain position.
• Provide feedback on products and potential new items to carry or discontinue.
• Participate in interviewing store personnel and hiring decisions.
• Ensure inventory procedures, product handling, and cash controls are followed.
