Job summary

Family Dollar LLC in Lakefield, MN seeks an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development. You will assist with daily tasks, organize merchandise, and help train Store Associates.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred; ability to read, interpret, and explain operational directives is required
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment is preferred
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs. and perform frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and lifting

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns
• Help organize and transfer merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed
• Process corporate directives and communications related to store activities
• Maintain promotional storefront fixtures and displays
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, record keeping, and loss prevention
• Maintain clean, well-stocked store and organized stockroom according to company standards
• Protect and secure all company assets, including cash
• Adhere to policies and safety guidelines; ensure staff follow procedures
• Help Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment for customers and staff
• Maintain store cleanliness including bathrooms, floors, and trash
• Other duties as assigned
