Job summary

Goodwill of North Georgia is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support the Store Manager in daily operations, staff supervision, and customer engagement in our retail environment.

You will lead hiring and training, manage displays, and oversee budget-driven performance while maintaining a safe, welcoming store for donors and shoppers. Ongoing training and potential transfers are available as you progress.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years supervisory experience overseeing 15+ employees in relevant sectors.
• Bachelor's degree plus 1 year supervisory experience in logistics, retail, or related industry must.
• 4+ years of military service with supervisory experience qualifies.
• Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills required.
• Proficiency with MS Office and basic computer skills expected.

Responsibilities

• Assist Store Manager in running the store, including hiring, training, motivating, and supervising staff.
• Lead meetings, maintain customer and donor satisfaction standards, and manage displays and merchandising presentations.
• Ensure cash handling per policy and help drive the store toward meeting or exceeding budgeted financial performance.
• Ongoing training is provided; there may be opportunities to transfer to other stores as you progress.
