Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development. You will assist with opening/closing, merchandise flow, displays, and loss prevention, while guiding store associates and ensuring a safe, friendly environment for customers.

The role emphasizes strong communication, the ability to lift up to 55 lbs, and a proactive approach to daily tasks in a fast-paced retail setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store is preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical duties.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills are required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment and provide good customer service.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Maintain promotional effectiveness of fixtures and displays and assist in loss prevention.
• Assist in ordering merchandise and payroll, scheduling, and cash handling duties.
