Job summary

Dollar Tree is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development. You will assist with day-to-day functions and help ensure merchandising is maintained.

You will train and supervise store associates, handle opening and closing duties, process directives, and help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming shopping environment. The role requires strong communication, reliability, and the ability to lift up to 55 lbs, with experience in retail

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; ability to read, interpret, and explain directives.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs. and handle physical aspects of the job.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.
• Exceptional customer service, organizational, and communication skills expected.
• Strong problem solving and decision-making skills required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Help organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor; maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and maintain store communications and compliance.
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays for effectiveness.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, record-keeping, and loss prevention.
• Keep store areas well-stocked and organized to company standards.
• Protect and secure store assets, including cash.
• Follow safety policies and ensure associates follow procedures.
• Help Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
• Maintain a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers and staff.
