Job summary

Dollar Tree seeks an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development. You will help with opening/closing, merchandise movement, and adherence to policies while supervising and training store staff.

Responsibilities include maintaining a clean, well-stocked store, handling payroll and scheduling, and safeguarding store assets. Equal opportunity employer; at-will employment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred and can read and explain directives.
• Store management experience in retail or grocery is preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 55 lbs and perform active store duties.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Assist in organizing and transferring merchandise from delivery to stockroom and sales floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and store communications.
• Maintain promotional fixtures, displays, and storefront effectiveness.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged goods, record-keeping, payroll, scheduling, and cash deposits.
• Maintain a well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom.
• Protect and secure store assets, including cash.
• Adhere to policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.
• Help supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment for customers and staff.
• Maintain cleanliness of the store, restrooms, floors, and trash areas.
