Job summary

Hibbett I City Gear in Duncan, OK is seeking an Assistant Manager to support the Store Manager in daily operations, sales, and delivering outstanding customer service.

The role requires knowledge of product areas, supervision in the Store Manager's absence, and adherence to policies. You will help with merchandising, scheduling, inventory, and staff training while promoting merchandise and providing guidance to customers.

Qualifications

• Experience in retail, footwear and athletic apparel preferred.
• 1–3 years of customer service experience.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Team leadership and ability to meet goals.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Store Manager in controlling the assets of Hibbett I City Gear.
• Consult with Store Manager on action plans for selling, restocking, merchandising, ordering, and scheduling.
• Assumes responsibility of the entire store in the absence of the Store Manager.
• Assist in recruiting, training, and evaluating store personnel.
• Provide knowledge and guidance to employees and customers in all departments.
• Maintain inventory awareness, sales statistics and expenses to ensure profitability.
• Direct staff to ensure department standards are met.
• Keep Store Manager informed about inventory movement and customer trends.
• Ensure extraordinary customer service is maintained.
• Produce and deliver exceptional customer service per the customer service manual.
• Promote and sell services and merchandise provided by Hibbett I City Gear.
