Job summary

Hibbett I City Gear in Great Bend, Kansas is seeking an Assistant Manager to support the Store Manager in daily operations and customer service excellence. This role requires knowledge of store departments, policy adherence, and hands-on supervision in the manager's absence.

You will assist in merchandising, inventory, scheduling, and staff training while delivering outstanding service and promoting merchandise. This is an on-site, non-exempt hourly position.

Qualifications

• Retail experience in footwear/athletic apparel preferred.
• 1–3 years of customer service experience.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Team player with detail orientation.

Responsibilities

• Assist Store Manager in controlling assets and store operations.
• Consult with Store Manager on action plans for selling, restocking, merchandising, ordering, and scheduling.
• Assume store responsibilities in the Store Manager's absence.
• Lead staff training and evaluation; provide guidance in all departments.
• Deliver extraordinary customer service per the manual and promote merchandise.
