Job summary

Hibbett, Inc. is seeking an Assistant Manager for our Kansas City, MO location. The role supports the Store Manager in daily operations, merchandising, and customer service, with duties across all product areas. You will lead in the Manager’s absence and ensure policy adherence and service excellence.

The position is non-exempt, hourly, and reports to the Store Manager in Operations. Experience in footwear retail and strong communication are preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience in retail environment, footwear/apparel is a plus.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills required.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced setting and lead when needed.

Responsibilities

• Assist Store Manager with selling, restocking, merchandising, ordering, and scheduling.
• Manage store operations in the Store Manager’s absence.
• Support recruiting, training, and evaluating staff; guide employees as needed.
• Ensure inventory awareness, sales trends, and profitability across departments.
• Provide outstanding customer service and promote merchandise and services.
