Job summary

You will assist with staffing, training, and delivering outstanding customer service while promoting merchandise and protecting store assets. Non-exempt, hourly position with opportunities to lead during peak periods.

Qualifications

• Experience in a retail environment, preferably footwear and athletic apparel.
• 1-3 years of customer service experience.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Store Manager in controlling assets and operating needs.
• Consult with the Store Manager to plan selling, restocking and scheduling.
• Fill in for the Store Manager in their absence.
• Contribute to recruiting, training and evaluating staff.
• Provide guidance to employees and customers across departments.
• Monitor inventory, sales trends and expenses for profitability.
• Direct staff to ensure departmental tasks are completed.
• Maintain awareness of inventory movement and customer trends.
• Deliver exceptional customer service per policy manuals.
• Promote and sell services and merchandise offered by Hibbett I City Gear.
• Uphold all company policies and procedures in manuals.
• Protect assets and financial information and report risks.
