Family Dollar seeks an Assistant Store Manager to help run daily store operations and support team development. You will assist with customer service, organize merchandise, and help implement corporate directives while maintaining a clean, secure, and welcoming shopping environment.

The role emphasizes strong communication, teamwork, and the ability to manage opening/closing tasks, payroll, scheduling, and loss prevention in a fast-paced retail setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required or preferred.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform repetitive movements.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Assist in organizing and transferring merchandise from delivery to stockroom and sales floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and communications related to store activities.
• Maintain store fixtures, displays, and promotional effectiveness.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged goods, payroll, scheduling, and cash deposits/receipts.
