Job summary

The Assistant Manager at Hibbett I City Gear Tampa will support the Store Manager in daily operations, merchandising, restocking, scheduling, and customer service excellence. You’ll be knowledgeable across product areas and uphold company policies while leading by example in the store.

In this role you will supervise staff in the Store Manager’s absence, assist in recruiting and training, and help drive store profitability with strong attention to detail and a passion for selling merchandise.

Qualifications

• Experience working in a retail environment, preferably in footwear and athletic apparel.
• 1-3 years of customer service experience.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to assist in managing a team and keep up with overall goals and profits.
• Is a self-starter, has initiative to take on important tasks without being asked.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and with precision.
• Is a team-player, passionate about outstanding customer service and selling merchandise.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Store Manager in controlling store assets and executing action plans.
• Supervise in the Store Manager’s absence.
• Direct staff to ensure department responsibilities are met.
