Job summary

Hibbett I City Gear seeks an Assistant Manager to support the Store Manager in all store operations and administrative duties. You will be knowledgeable in each department, uphold policies, and promote merchandise while delivering outstanding customer service.

The role includes supervising in the Store Manager’s absence, managing scheduling, restocking, and staff development to achieve store goals and profitability.

Qualifications

• Experience in retail, preferably footwear/apparel.
• 1-3 years of customer service experience.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to lead a team and drive goals.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Store Manager in controlling assets and loss prevention across the store.
• Collaborate with the Store Manager to establish action plans for selling, restocking, merchandising, ordering, and scheduling.
• Assume responsibility for the store in the Store Manager’s absence.
• Assist in personnel recruiting, training, and evaluation.
• Provide knowledge and guidance to employees and customers across departments to maintain service quality.
• Monitor inventory, sales, and expenses to help profitability in all departments.
• Direct staff to ensure department responsibilities and standards are met.
• Keep the Store Manager informed about inventory movement and customer trends.
• Ensure exceptional customer service and promote store services and merchandise.
• Uphold company policies, procedures, and manuals in daily operations.
